“SIA is proud to co-present the inaugural CONSULT Scholarship to this class of eight awardees,” said Geoff Kohl, senior director of marketing, SIA. “We had an incredibly strong group of candidates for this first-ever scholarship, and we were thrilled to see so many SIA members interested in the program and generously offering their financial support. SIA has long been committed to fostering the technical security workforce. We are honored to be able to build on this commitment and help young professionals thrive through this partnership with SecuritySpecifiers to bring emerging leaders to CONSULT to learn and grow in their careers.”
“We are pleased to have partnered with SIA on this scholarship program to help accelerate the assimilation of younger consultants into our industry,” said Ray Coulombe, managing director, SecuritySpecifiers. “I was very pleased at the number and qualifications of those who applied to this program in its initial year. We welcome them to CONSULT 2025, where they will gain much needed knowledge and perspective while connecting with their industry peers.”
The CONSULT Scholarship program will award eight scholarships in 2025. The inaugural class of awardees — all young professionals involved in security design and/or consulting — will each receive a full ticket to CONSULT 2025 (valued at $800); access to all sessions, meals, and events in the symposium program; a one-on-one mentorship-focused meeting with the architecture and engineering (A&E)/consulting program leaders from the scholarship program sponsors; dinner during the conference with one of the scholarship sponsors; and an invitation to participate in SIA RISE, a community designed to help emerging security industry leaders grow.
