Can AI (artificial intelligence) help in education? One university aims to integrate generative AI tools into the curriculum to modernize and innovate education.
As one example, the University of San Francisco School of Law is partnering with Accordance and Anthropic to embed gen AI into the required first year curriculum through the legal research, writing, and analysis program.
Here is how this can help in education:
- Prepare students to understand the law and practice it.
- Give tools and context to use the technologies.
- Help students identify how to harness it and detect its limitations (i.e. hallucinations or inaccuracies).
Looking to the future, we need to educate young minds on gen AI. We need to teach, equip, and train workers in what the future of work will look like. AI and machine learning are not going away. It is best to prepare the people as soon as possible.
